Paving the Way to Licensed Conveyancing: Emma's Apprenticeship Journey at RDC Solicitors

At RDC Solicitors, we believe in supporting talent, investing in potential, and opening up opportunities for people to thrive in the legal profession. One of our shining examples is Emma Field, who works from our Ilkley office and is currently embarking on an exciting new chapter in her career with us as an apprentice training to become a Licensed Conveyancer.
Emma’s route into law is a little different to most, and all the more inspiring for it. She spent 15 years working in estate agency, where she developed a real passion for property and a particular interest in the conveyancing side of the job.
“I always wanted to know more about the conveyancing process and actually be involved in it, rather than just chasing it up!” Emma explains.
That curiosity eventually led her to RDC Solicitors, where she’s now been for over two years. During that time, she’s proven herself to be a key part of the team and decided to take the next step by starting a conveyancing apprenticeship. A route that allows her to combine study with hands-on experience in a legal setting.
“As much as I enjoy the learning and being an assistant, I want to actually do the job, have my own cases, have the challenge of different matters and help people to buy the right home.”
Emma’s apprenticeship offers a comprehensive blend of on-the-job training, mentoring, workshops, and formal study, giving her the skills and confidence to progress toward her ultimate goal of becoming a qualified Licensed Conveyancer.
We're incredibly proud of Emma and her drive to grow her career within RDC. Supporting our team members to achieve their full potential is a core part of who we are as a firm, and we’re excited to see Emma’s journey unfold.
